Thanks for dropping by - what follows is a speech given by Ted Benedict at a Lifestyles Distributor Opportunity Meeting. Many at the meeting felt it explained a number of the questions people often have about the Business Opportunity with Lifestyles.



Good Evening to all you bright and eager existing and potential Lifestylers.  Thank You very much for coming to our Lifestyles® Products and Business Opportunity Meeting. These are held regularly to help you and your downline people become familiar with Lifestyles®, the Products, Program and the Business Opportunity. Listen closely and see how current Lifestylers have translated their wellness and health into happiness and excitement.

A number of you will have likely wondered what this meeting was all about when you saw the Poster, or heard about it being on, now, of course, you well know it is about the Company called Lifestyles. Lifestyles and their fine line of  Products. Many Thanks to Gino who always does an excellent job - like he has done for 10 years as a great teacher (Gino since this meeting has submitted his resignation as a teacher - he has been in Lifestyles for just under 5 years) for telling you about each and all of the Lifestyles Products that Lifestyles has.  Many of you here, I know, are already using a number of these products - with great success. But that is primarily for the good of your health - which is very important, naturally, but I would like to present to you another side of Lifestyles - and that is the Business Opportunity that exists with these products, along with good health.

To many of us this aspect of Lifestyles is equally, or maybe even more, exciting than the wellness and health part of the products.  The fact is, there is an excellent Business Opportunity , for those who choose it, to be had with Lifestyles.  A Business Opportunity that extends, as we saw in the video, "Beyond Borders" (available for $5.00 plus 2.50 shipping cost).  Not just beyond the borders of our Provinces, but beyond the borders of Canada and of North America.  Lifestyles is now in 11 countries around the world and looking at having Distributors open in new areas every day. As a Lifestyles Distributor it is gernerally possible to do business anywhere in the world where you might have a contact.

So you are saying to yourself, OK that's great - I am interested in looking at the Business Opportunity side of Lifestyles, and I know there is money to be made doing it, and I thought I would try it, BUT - I don't know who to contact, I don't know how the system works, and I don't think I can get anyone to participate anyway!

Well that's why I'm speaking to you tonight. To let you know what the Business side of Lifestyles is all about. And not only to explain a bit about that side of it, but also to give you some tools and ideas as to how easy this part of the program can be.  I'm sure many of you have been asked to do something for your wife or husband, or for a neighbor or a friend, and certainly you felt that you would be willing to help, but first and foremost you needed (if you didn't already have it) a bit of information about what you were going tackle - so you might have asked you brother or sister or Dad, or you may have looked in a book, but you did get some information about what you were going to do.  Secondly, when you were approaching this task,  now that you had the knowledge or information about it - the next thing you knew you would need was some tools.  Whether that was a pair of pliers, or scissors, a hammer or a garden tractor - you did need some tools.  I know taking the drain off a kitchen sink is pretty near impossible if you don't have at least one pipewrench!    I hope to provide some information for you tonight,  and  I will also try and give you some simple tools that you can use when you do the Lifestyles Business. Hopefully this information and these tools will help you see how simple, and easy it is to be successfully involved as an Independent Entrepreneur with Lifestyles.

A Lifestyles Entrepreneur can come from any walk of life. There are people involved with Lifestyles who are retired, there are doctors who have become successful Lifestyles business people; plus many other professional people such as teachers (witness Gino here)! Electricians,  mechanics, plumbers, painters, carpenters, postal workers, waitresses and obviously even simple ordinary no-name people like me. The point is a Lifestyler can come from any walk of life. But having come from any walk of life and made the decision to take a look at Lifestyles, there needs to be some other things given to you to make your journey easier. So I'm going to give you a hand, to make the possibility of becoming a Lifestyler as simple as it really can be. This "hand" I'm going to give you revolves around the figure four, as in four fingers - but it also involves one other thing - YOU!  So here we go.

When I arrived here tonight, I noticed a number of 4 wheel drive utility vehicles parked outside. Today these are a popular vehicle because they are the equipment that people know can get the job done - and so I'm going to relate my talk to the utility vehicles that you're all familiar with  - commonly referred to as a 4 x 4!

The first "4" I want you to know about and remember is that there are four basic things to look for in the product mix of a company like Lifestyles.  The attributes that the products of a successful company should have are as follows:
  1. It is a very good idea that they be "C"onsumable.  That is, that people will use them and then re-order and re-use them.  Such is the case with Lifestyles - all the products are consumable and will be re-ordered on a regular basis. Certainly there are many businesses that are able to sell their "widgets" or merchandise, be they cars, bicycles, trailers, garbage cans or desks - but the market for these things I have named is finite.  Eventually there will be one or two, or sure, even three in every household, but then the household does not need to buy any of those items again for a good long period of time. All the product lines that Lifestyles carries are all consumable.

  2. In a good company, like Lifestyles the next attribute is that their products need to be "A"ffordable. They must be competitively priced in the marketplace. Lifestyles has spent a good deal of time being sure that their products all are priced properly for the average consumer.

  3. Thirdly the products need to have "M"ass appeal. That is they need to be things that everyone can use, young, old, small, large, children, adults, people of any ethnic group - here or overseas - maybe even down to your dog and cat. In fact, talk about mass appeal and scope for a product,  one of the current Lifestyle Distributors here in Vancouver sells quite a number of bottles of Intra that are included in the feed of some of the race horses at the tracks !  Everyone can eat a cookie or cake , everyone needs fiber , everyone washes their hair , everyone has to regularly do their laundry .  Lifestyles has all these bases covered with the current line of products.

  4. The fourth point is that once you have these consumable, affordable products with mass appeal - they must be "E"ffective! When products are effective they also have emotional appeal to people. Well the testimonials that you heard earlier tonight, or that you can hear on the live conference call,

    will confirm that the products Lifestyles sells are truly effective. They do the job that they are designed to do.

If you're not taking notes, you can likely remember these first four points because they spell the word "CAME" - and you certainly should be able to remember that you CAME here tonight to learn about Lifestyles.

Following our 4 X 4 Program we move to the next group of four.  This group is about the four kinds of people that typically get involved in a  business of their own, such as Lifestyles.

  1. The first group of people that get involved and buy products are the "C"onsumers. They have looked at the products and understand their value and they wish to use them on a regular basis.  They join the Lifestyles group so that they can buy their product needs at a wholesale price.  They don't particularly get involved in doing the business.

  2. The second group is the "A"ctive consumers group. They are the same as the first group, but they do get involved in the business and they work to sell enough so that they end up getting their own needs at virtually no cost, because of the returns from their sales.

  3. The third group is the sellers with a "M"otive.  They have a motive behind their efforts - they are motivated by the desire to earn a little extra cash.  They usually work at the business on the weekends and or the evenings -  to obtain an additional 300, maybe even 500 or 1000 dollars per month - supplementary money to their regular income.  Many have entered Lifestyles at this level and done very well - some so well they eventually move into the final group.

  4. That group is the "E"ntreprenuers.  They see the unlimited potential of doing this business on a full-time basis.  They follow the duplicable programs that their upline has used to become successful.  They build an organization of considerable degree.  They get involved in training others and tackle the business head on.  They are the power players and most often end up making an excellent living, and developing one of the key things that a business like Lifestyles has - the residual income - such that when they retire there will be some significant cash flow - continuing to come into their lives.

Again it shouldn't be too hard for you to remember what we presented to you when you CAME to this meeting !

So there's one 4 X 4 you can use on your drive to success. I'm going to tell you about another one - or should I say four instead of one?! Anyway one or four that will show you some specifics about the business. These next four are real easy - you won't have any trouble remembering them - and you'll see why once I've shown them to you.

  1. Something you need is a "P"lan - this plan can involve any number of the tools that are available to you, but the best one we have found is one developed by a very successful Lifestyler from Toronto - named Pat Ashby. He set up a 3 - step business evaluation plan that sets you up to be ready to do the Lifestyles business. The three steps involve - (i) Trying and using the products, (ii) Telephoning the conference call line and along with your new prospects hearing  the good things about Lifestyles, and (iii) having you and the people in your business group listen to the Success Cycle Tapes (6 excellent audio tapes available for $40.00, plus shipping of $3.50). Take the time to use these three T's and the proven step-by-step business plan will help you easily achieve your goals in Lifestyles.

  2. So your plan is in place - now you use your "U"pline - the people who introduced you to the business and those who have been successful so far and are willing to share their successful ideas with you.  Contact them often and make use of the information they have that made them successful.

  3. The third point is  "T"hree Way Calling - this is often an extension of number two - where you continue to make use of your Upline partners.  When you are talking on the phone to someone who may get involved in your business, and they ask you a question that you may or may not know the answer to - simply say - why that's a great question - I'm not sure of the answer  - let's ask someone who knows.  Place a call to one of your upline and let the new prospect hear how friendly and helpful your senior business partners can be.  It makes for excellent rapport in the total group and the big picture.

  4. The fourth point is going to be written  here as a "$" - and to most of you it could be the first letter of "$"uccess, and so I'm going to put a line or two through it because this is something that interests all of us , I'm sure.  That is, MONEY - and that's what you can make by following these programs I have outlined briefly to you. Lifestyles  PUT$ ( dollars ) in your pocket.

Well, I don't know if you can hear my enthusiasm for Lifestyles and the products, and I could go on here for hours, talking to you about the quality products, the quality people, and the quality pay plan, but I'll make an effort to wrap it up shortly.  The last thing I want to tell is HOW you can make money with Lifestyles.  Again we use our 4 x 4 program.

  1. "R"etail volume - obviously if you sell a bottle of Intra to someone they are going to pay you and you will put the money in your bank.  When you join Lifestyles (as a Distributor - only $25.00 annual administration fee) you begin buying at 20% discount, beyond that, depending on what level you work toward, the discount applicable to you, at which you can buy products, can be as high as 40% on your retail sales volume.

  2. Secondly you can sell some things for "E"ven Less - that is at a wholesale level.  Being a DIRECT Distributor (purchasing products at a 40% discount - this can be done immediately when joining, or accomplished easily over a period of the 60 days after joining) as your organization grows you will have people within it below you that will be buying at discounts ranging from 20% - as a new Distributor - up to 30% as they work toward being a Direct Distributor.  In all these cases, even at wholesale, you have a built in margin for your end of the deal (10% - 20%).

  3. Thirdly when many  of your prospects and business partners have become Direct Distributors and are buying all their product directly from the company at a 40% discount, you will still be making money, because the purchases of the people in your group "A"ccumulate, and the company pays you a bonus on the accumulated wholesale dollar volume of the people under you. That bonus is 4% on all the sales that are made in your group - down as deep as 6 generations - that is all the sales - as wide as you have made your front line - down below that front line group for five more generations (A generation is anyone who is active and buys something in any given month.

  4. So now you are in a "L"eague of your own - and you get paid for having this league or organization of your own. At the beginning as a National Marketing Director it is an additional 1%, but it can grow - to when you are a Global Marketing Director - and be as much as 3% - on TOP of any of the retail, wholesale, or royalty bonuses from your downline's accumulated sales you may already be earning (this 1% - 3% is paid on EVERYONE below you that buys product - on to inifinity - no level or generation limits)! That my friends is REAL MONEY!

You CAME - and learned about consumers, active consumers, the ones with a motive to earn extra cash, and the entrepreneurs who really get going in this business.

You CAME and learned about consumable, affordable, mass appeal products that are effective in their application. They actually work and people keep buying them!

You saw how Lifestyles can PUT$ (dollars) in your pocket - by having a plan, the 3 Step Business Plan, by making use of your Upline , and by using the telephone.

Lastly we showed you how it was REAL MONEY - money that can help reduce or eliminate the amount of month that's left over when the money is gone. Money that can help you retire, money that can buy those extras you would like to have for your loved ones, money that can help you make your Dreams Come True!!
