** Note the obvious "pyramid" formed on BOTH sides of the chart. The label "pyramid" is not to be feared, the Egyptians proved that it is one of the most solid and enduring structures that exists in our world. The true parallel between these businesses is plain to see. There is nothing to be feared in Network Marketing!

As we view the above chart it is readily obvious that, in fact, ANY organization can be seen as having a "pyramid" format. In both cases it is important that "value" (advice, material, information, guidance, marketing programs and ideas) flows DOWN from the top of the organization. It is equally important that there is a "return value" (ideas, sales effort, work time, loyalty, input about competition, etc.) traveling UP from the bottom of the same organization. Both organizations work very well while there is "value" flowing both ways. Typically, everyone works hard to make their contribution to the whole, and things run rather smoothly. People come and go daily, they get their paychecks, they get holidays, they share ideas, and the goods of the firm get sold.

That's about where the similarity of the two (pyramids) Organizations ends! If you are a hustling employee (at the traditional organization) you will come in early, work hard, keep your part of the show in order, and - Wow ! - soon you will be a Store or Department Manager (the equivalent at Lifestyles® would be to move from a Distributor to a Direct Distributor). Well done. If you move up to that position and become a hotshot at the local store level of your typical organization, you will diligently observe your end of the business, and will share your ideas with the people above you (as you would do at Lifestyles®). All is well and both of you in your own organizations are quite comfortable. The first thing that might happen to the fellow NOT in the Lifestyles® organization is that a number of his well thought out, useful and effective ideas will NOT be heard or used in his organization (not the case with your ideas for your business at Lifestyles® - everyone in your organization BENEFITS from you doing well, you will never be put down or held back). If one of his ideas does get used, the credit for having put in the idea will likely go to one of the people above him (not the case in Lifestyles®) ! We're sure you've heard similar type stories before, and the list could go on with further examples. These few shall suffice to make the point.

We could go on and on, but seeing as we were "comparing" the two we will close this page with another table for you.
