1. The company should be at least pass the 5 year stage. Why?..very simple, 90% of network marketing companies go broke within the first 2 to 3 years due to a variety of problems. Usually a garbage product and no financial strength. Network marketing companies go under just as fast as traditional business’s. If you can find a company that is pass the 5 year stage but still not a household word....you have just increased your chances of success by 50%.
3. Consumable. Promoting a consumable product (meaning being used up on a regular basis) is absolutely critical. In otherwards if you have a phenomenal product, you do not have to go out and continually find new customers. By developing a repeat customer base, the expense of advertising and marketing is greatly decreased. Consumable products are usually priced lower. If distributors and customers are happy they continue to reorder. “Do not get direct sales confused with Network marketing distribution”. In today’s competitive market place it is essential that part time network marketers have a high consumable product to work with. This assist’s them tremendously in creating a residual bonus check.

5. Demand for the Product.. Do not go by what some fast talker tells you...Remember, common sense is not all that common! There is a difference between what people want and what they need. Their budget determines how much of what they want they can afford. The items that they “need” come from their budget before the items that they simply “want”. You must have a company with direction as opposed to maintenance mode. You need a company with direction and goals, hence you become a part of an exciting movement that will last the length of your life time. (Nice way to go through life.)
8. Reliability: Your product must work time after time. Consumers want a product they can count on and believe in. Nobody wants to expose their friends and colleagues to an inferior product. No smart person will lay his credibility on the line with his friends after building it up for 20 years. Try the products yourself. Rely on your own common sense to evaluate what you have stumbled onto. Don’t be afraid to open your mind and evaluate. Great Network Marketing companies have nothing to hide and want you to do your homework. If no one wants to tell you about the products you are probably involved in a money game. Do not get involved. Ask the companies distributors about commission checks. Do they arrive on time, do they clear the bank, etc. Remember you want a company that can get you to the income you want, so you don’t want to be worried about the mechanics of the corporate office.
9. Simplicity: It is very helpful when the products you represent are simple to explain and use. If it is to high tech...no paycheck. You shouldn’t have to go to college to learn about the products and training systems. Ideally you should be able to talk about the products the same day you were exposed to them. Simplicity encourages your friends and contacts to use the products as well as tell other people about them. If your customers one day end up being distributors, they will follow what you did with them, so you want a product that is teachable and a presentation that is easy to duplicate.
10. Geographics: Your products should appeal to people of all countries. The larger the mass appeal the better. The broader the base the easier to attract new customers and distributors. Try to stay away from products that are seasonal. A year round business is obviously better. Be sure the company and it’s leaders can support you as your business starts to grow around the world. Look at the companies technology, are there any barriers that may impede you from growing. Remember you are starting your home based business for your reasons not someone else’s. If you want to earn a $100,000.00 a month, your company and products should be able to support you and be ready. The beauty of this industry is your income doesn’t have to depend where you live. (The most exciting factor of this business)

These ideas were designed to help a new distributor achieve success their first month in the business. “If new distributors do not know what to do next....they do nothing”

Another technique....Simply state to a friend or contact. “Bob, I have come across an exciting business and if it pans out like I think it will, we are going to have a lot of fun and make a lot of money. You were one of the first people I thought about when I stumbled across this business. Would you be so kind as to give me your opinion and listen to a live conference call this Thursday night. I would love to have you and me working side by side in this business together. Note: (If you have already had some product results, make sure you speak on that Thursday night call and inform Bob you will be one of the guest speakers). This will be your first step in building credibility. (Bob might even think you know what you’re doing). After all, you are going to be on a live North American conference call.
Note: Please discuss with your upline how to tell your story. There is a right way!
3. Exposure to this wonderful business is useless without follow up. Call Bob right after the call and see what he thought. If Bob is a long way from your place and you can’t sit with him face to face....Try this.... If he is interested, you take his credit card number and order him an Intra Evaluation package immediately. Inform him that after he has familarized himself with products and info...(give him 2 days) he should then make a list of questions. You will then introduce him to your upline or someone who has credibility.
Note: What you have just done is let Bob know that he is not in this business by himself. After you introduce your upline to Bob, keep quiet. Listen to the questions that are being asked and how your upline answers them.....Learn....Learn....Learn!
4. After the conversation with Bob and your upline, phone Bob back by yourself and ask him how he enjoyed that. If he says it was great, immediately set up a time whereby you and Bob and your upline can have another talk about stragedy and the next step. This can all be done on the phone. I personally would set that up for the next day or day after. Don’t let the excitement fade. We need to find out who Bob knows while he is excited.
5. At this point Bob becomes a door for you. He will lead you to people who you never would have met. You are now on your way to building a Network Marketing organization.
You and your upline will suggest to Bob to get a speaker phone and gather his best contacts either in his home or on the phone lines to listen to the next Thursday night call.
Note: If everyone has 3 way calling on the their phone system, a lot of people can be patched in at once. You are now becoming duplicatable, which is the key.
You inform Bob that you and your upline will be calling in after the call to answer questions from Bob’s new prospects. What you are doing now, is taking the pressure off of Bob and building his self esteem as well as his belief level in you and Lifestyles. He is thinking if your upline is supporting you in every area, maybe they will help him as well. Note: Here is the key to success. Making new distributors feel that they are in not in this business alone. People will move mountains if they get a taste of success quickly and you have put hope back in their lives. A rock solid belief that it can happen for them is the key.
6. After Bob has a few interested people, set up a mini-training session over the phone. You with your upline, will explain how to order products, the lastest in sales aids and video’s, as well as a personal invitation to call into Jim Fitzpatrick’s Sunday "Fireside Chat". (Last Sunday of each month... (407) 318 - 2763 -- 8:00 PM EST.) Your upline will advise everyone about the advantages of being a Direct distributor as well as discuss goals with everyone. At this time you will find out who the serious people are. You will now set up a time to talk to each one privately and simply repeat the above process.
7. If you stick to this system for the next 24 months, you will have a huge organization growing, which will turn into a 6 figure income for you. It's That Simple! Go over these steps until it comes to you naturally. Once it is a habit, you’ve got it made!
